HANAMATSURI PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Our Annual Hanamatsuri Pancake Breakfast is on Sunday, April 12, 2015 beginning at 8:30am.  We have over 90 people participating every year and we hope to increase the number to 100.

Committee chairperson Brian Kimura with assistants Christine Kimura and Alex Lo work hard to get the ingredients donated so that it all profit for the ‘Otera’.   Tickets are only $6.00 and you will get the delicious breakfast of scramble egg, spam, pancake and fruit.  You may eat in the social hall or take home. For tickets call Rev. Kojima or Rev. Toho at Zenshuji, (213) 624-8658.

ARIGATOO SOKAN RUMME

As a representative and member of Zenshuji, I would like to say ‘Arigatoo Sokan Rumme’ for the wonderful five years of dedication and service to Zenshuji!   It has been the most amazing and energizing period in the history of Zenshuji.  You provided us with new classes about Zen, growth of Zazenkai, new activities for the organization of Zazenkai, class on precepts with sewing of the rakusu, Red Robe Service, completion of the new Sutra Book, ordination of new minister, English Dharma Talks at the monthly/memorial services, lecture circuit translator, President of LABTF, karaoke singer, compassionate listener and many more activities and events.

There are no words one can say to express the emptiness we feel.  We are happy for the new adventure and goals that Bishop Rumme will experience in St. Louis, Missouri and the happiness that Kathleen will bring into your life.   We will always have a special place for you as we meditate and chant the sutras.

Please keep in touch.
